White Rabbit은 Acid Rock을 대표한다고 할 수 있다. 이 곡은 우드스탁 페스티벌에서 Jefferson Airplane 자신들에 의해 여러 번 불려졌고 히피 문화의 중심에 위치하였다. 이 곡의 주제는 이상한 나라의 앨리스(Alice In Wonderland)이며, White Rabbit은 이 곡에서는 마약을 상징하는 것으로, 이 곡 이후로 많은 자들이 마약을 이렇게 일컬었다. 앨리스는 동화에서 흰 토끼(White Rabbit)을 따라가다가 이상한 나라로 가는 굴에 빠지게 되고 그 나라의 음식물을 먹으면 키가 매우 커지거나 매우 작아지는 경험을 하게 되는데 이는 마약을 할 때의 증상이라고 한다. (나야 잘 모르겠지만 중독자들은 자신의 얼굴이 아파트 옥상을 뚫을 수도 있다고 한다.) Smoking Caterpillar는 버섯 위에서 휴식을 취하면서 담배를 피는데 버섯이나 담배나 다들 마약을 일컫는 것들이다.

이와 같이 동화에서 마약에 대한 간접적인 묘사(사실인지 아닌지는 모르겠으나 루이스 캐롤 자체가 정신쇠약에 시달렸고 따라서 환각을 자주 경험했다고 한다.)를 읽어 낼 수 있었던 Jefferson Airplane. 그러나 동화가 변질되어 마약중독자들을 옹호하는 노래가 되는 것(마지막 구절의 "Feed your head!", 분명 약의 사용을 장려하는 구절이다.)은 딱히 탐탁지가 않다.
